Audiologist
Sam is a seasoned professional in the field of audiology and registered hearing aid dispensing, with over 29 years of experience.
As the director of Summertown Audiology, she has been fully qualified and registered since 1994, holding a post-graduate diploma in the pathology of the ear and ENT emergencies. She has a range of specialized skills, including Tinnitus practice and earwax removal, having worked in both private and NHS clinics.
Sam is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Audiology and is in the process of deciding on a topic for her thesis. Her choices include designing a protocol for testing patients with Dementia or investigating whether Parkinson’s disease can cause temporary conductive loss using Tympanography and Reflexes.
Sam’s personal interests include her deaf one-eyed cat, Kira, and her extensive collection of antique hearing aids, hearing trumpets, and conversation tubes. She also has a passion for reference books related to ear and hearing care.
